Tech-Reational Vehicle Services, Inc. started with a simple problem back in 2015. Bryan and Patricia Carbonnell—that’s us—were coming up on the end of our fifth wheel’s warranty period. We had some concerns about the upcoming warranty work and wanted to ensure everything was done correctly.
We could have hired someone to inspect our RV before and after the repairs. That would have been the smart move. Instead, we decided to do something a bit crazy: we’d get trained and certified ourselves. That way, we could inspect our own rig and help other RVers avoid the headaches we’d experienced.
It turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made.

How We Got Here
Bryan didn’t stop at his NRVIA certification. He kept learning, earning his Master Certified RV Technician credentials through RVTI and RVTAA. Eventually, he joined the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) in Athens, TX, as an instructor, teaching the next generation of RV inspectors and technicians.
Patricia (everyone calls her Trish) followed a similar path. In 2024, she earned her NRVIA Certified RV Inspector certification and became an RVTAA Certified Technician.

Our RV Journey
We’ve been full-timers since 2013, so we’ve dealt with just about every maintenance issue and repair scenario you can imagine—usually at the worst possible times. Trish’s background in electrical engineering technology and business ownership complements Bryan’s technical skills and obsessive attention to detail. Together, we’ve built a business that lets us do what we love: travel and help fellow RVers along the way.
Our schedule mirrors the migration patterns of snowbirds. Summers find us in Ontario, while the colder months have us touring the southern states. Running this business gives us the freedom to explore while staying connected to the RV community.
Life Beyond RVs
We have two grown daughters who enjoy traveling with us but have wisely chosen different career paths. The rest of our family is in Ontario, and we prioritize spending time with them whenever we’re in the area.
When Bryan’s not working, you’ll find him blogging, tinkering with the website, or working on woodworking projects using hand tools. Trish fills her free time with singing, planning our next adventure, and experimenting in the kitchen—both cooking and baking.
We love this lifestyle and want to help you enjoy yours just as much. Whatever you need—whether it’s an inspection, a repair, or just some advice—don’t hesitate to reach out.
